hyplex® test principle
hyplex® tests are used for the specific direct detection of DNS infectious pathogens.
With only one hyplex® Multiplex-PCR-ELISA several parameter can be detected in a single procedure. This allows as well the
screening of patient material for different microorganisms as an advanced genotypic characterisation of a certain organism regarding
antibiotic resistances or potential presence of toxins.

Multiplex-PCR means the simultaneous amplification of several different germ-specific DNA regions, which are detected using high
specific probes for a reverse hybridisation. This is why these tests show highest specificity.
The procedure of the reverse hybridisation is carried out in commonly used microtiter plates and is similar to a traditional antigen ELISA.
This allows easy, automised working by ELISA processors.
